About Us

sprite

In 1983 Sprite Computers opened our doors in a small strip mall at the corner of King George Boulevard and 102nd avenue, while the store was thriving, the location soon proved to be too small for the ever expanding line of products and we scouted Surrey for a new and larger location. In 1986 we moved to our current location at the corner of King George Boulevard and 108th avenue.

Our product line at the time included all Commodore products, not the least of which was the C64 computer and a full line of PC Compatibles. Soon we were making our own line of computers which we named MicroStar. These proved to be very popular with small businesses and gamers alike. We are proud to say that not only did we develop a large customer following with local businesses and home users, but we also had the privilege of supplying all the computers used in the construction of both the Millennium line and the Canada line Skytrain Systems.

Ever Concerned with our community, Michael Nielsen the President of Sprite Computers, took an active role in what was at the time known as the Whalley Business Improvement Association. Soon the Whalley BIA was renamed the Downtown Surrey Business Improvement Association and Mike still serves on the board of directors for that organization. He also serves on the Surrey Safety Committee, the Whalley Community Association and the Burns Bog Conservation Foundation.

Today we continue to our best to serve the community. As our neighborhood continues to evolve so do the needs of our clients. We continue to sell and support a large line of PC, Tablet and Notebook computers and have recently added cellphones and virtual reality, We have also integrated home theater products and are offering full sales and installation of these cutting edge products.
